Unlucky mate, but at least that's your 'drop' out the way. Plain sailing from here on eh?

I've also heard the "Everyone drops it" phrase. At least it doesn't sound too damaged and you're ok.

I can remember being in matlock bath one Sunday, Unbeknown to me i had not left my bike on the most stable of surfaces, as i was walking the the chippy i hear the most horrible sound a biker can hear... i turned round and my bike was lay in a heap. Horrible in front of so many bikers aswell :(

Never mind fella...at least you've got it out of the way.

I hadn't had any probs in a long while, then the other week I was coming out of the work underground car park and lost the rear end on some dust on the exit ramp and was on me arris in a split second. Damaged fairing, crash bungs/cotton reels, indicators, gear lever etc etc.

Happens to us all ;)

Excellent - Chalk that one of the list now then.
Still got a few to go though.. I think Collecting a car wingmirror came next for me, be warned if its a car on your right it might only be a wingmirror but hitting it has just enough force to slam your front brake on!

You can also look forward to losing the rear under sharp acceleration in the wet as well as skidding through a red light in the wet.

At least it was on your own drive. The works carpark is always highly entertaining for other people (twice btw). At home, I dropped the NSR wheeling it out of the garage because I was too lazy to flick the stand up properly and it caught on the raised edge of the concrete floor (luckily the NSR was lovely and light and I could easily pick it up again!). You'll feel a numpty for a couple of days and then it's forgotten.

Is a seasoned biker one who has eaten too much oregano?
