Awww - I want one. I won't be allowed though as Mr LPH said last night that it was him or the cats after they woke us at 5am again. I don't think was impressed when I said we'd taken a voted and even though I'd voted for him to stay I'd been out voted by Iggle and Piggle and did he need any help packing?
Oh mum is very much a people cat, so might the little ones .

Yay, well done Badger. Cats are awesome.
We had a stray move into our Garden a couple of years ago and she dropped two litters on us. We finally managed to persuade her to come in for the first lot when she got huge and she moved out as soon as she could. However with the second litter we kept her in and eventually rehomed her with a new family who love her to bits. All nine kittens were rehomed to loving homes too. I was there when the kittens were born and spent a lot of time looking after Mum, who needed worming and defleaing.
By the time we rehomed her, she was very sociable and gentle and would sit on my lap purring like a diesel engine!

Hi Pete, how's my favorite boy in blue doing?
Anyhoo, I know I have been a bit of a stranger lately but I have been working so hard and haven't had much time to come on the forum. The two horses take up a lot of our time now and since we have been competing on them the weekends go by so quickly. I also have a lot of things on the go, including having to learn to drive an HGV.....
- However I have been 'badgered' to make the effort this time, I might even make it to the Annual Rideout if my PADI Divemaster ticket is still valid, and if it clears up I might even ride my bike again
Here is the photo of the pussy, not me holding it by the way, my engagement ring is much nicer *gloat

Hmmm to be fair you have a point, however I am hoping that the kitten will bring out his nurturing side (one could only hope!) Alternatively I could teach it to poop in random shoes until he collects it on Saturday!

Have you got you HGV yet? I am taking my medical next week for exactly the same reason. I am currently driving a small lorry using the 'grandparents rights' loophole, it will never last so I have decided to go for it. I would love to know your opinions on what it is like to learn, I have not taken any sort of driving test since my motorbike test about 15 years ago.
Yes I love cats, but eldest son is allergic to them, youngest is allergic to dogs, and both of them are allergic to horses, not that it stops youngest spending every spare minute with his pony!

Hi Mrs DJ Fridge,
No I haven't started yet, my fiance did his last year and he enjoyed it a lot. It was all fine until we bought this:

http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee251/Jen_and_Tris/2012_0404lorry0316.jpg
Unfortunately that means if the fiance falls or is hurt during a competition, then I have to call one of his mates to drive the horses home. So it is important for me to learn how to drive it too. Since its an 18 tonne, I have to get my HGV licence. I was just waiting to get the medical and the rest of the bits sorted.
Do you ride too or is it just your son?

Wow VT, I am so digging your truck, that is awesome... Wants a go!
I think that you would be an awesome truck driver, I know that wifey wishes that she had never learned to drive, but the thought of trekking across the globe in a truck sounds like a lot of fun to me, just would not want to be a commercial driver. Sending all the love your way as always XXX :D

What a great trackday transporter that thing would make!
Are you taking bookings ? ;)
We could ask nicely so you might garage the bikes if it rains.

I grew up on the road with horses, my family still compete at top flight, (dad was champion with his Hackney at HOYS this year). So yes I do still occasionally ride, but I have to keep working at the family business so not nearly as much time as when I was younger. My youngest had to think long and hard before getting his latest pony, before that he had ridden hairy scurry ponies. But we discussed did he want to join the team and compete properly, I told him all it entailed, always doing what you are told, the only appropriate answers to anything are yes, OK, and straight away. He thought long and hard and decided that he was ready for it, and bless him he takes it very seriously, I watched him training today and he is really a child to be proud of, my only problem is that when I watch him I often want to be sick due to worry that he does his best. Our eldest doesn't ride at all now, he would rather enjoy life at his own pace.
