in all truth i'm lucky if i'm making 20p on a kit. i'm doing these to stop my boardome (as well as the adjuster plates) and hopefully give people something so they don't have to run around getting all the various bits'n'pieces and once fitted will make the job a lot easier in the future.

Oh yeah wasn't meaning to be negative at all, they look like a really neat solution.

As a man who's burnt my fingers dozens of times on pointy thermostat housings trying to get to those ridiculously places spigots I would have no problem recommending them!

Finally got round to sorting the carbs out today. took about 20 mins to fit your extensions, most of that trying to get the hose on the front cylinder and another 15 to balance them. I reckon i could get them balanced and everything back together within 20mins in the future and no risk of burning my hands, thanks mate

Yeah i ended up using and allen key to stretch it a touch and a tiny drop of washing up liquid to help get it on. Didn't bother with drilling the airbox i just tywrapped the front cyclinder on next to the coolant top up and the rear on along the left hand side of the fuel tank, saved having to route the front one round to the other, and there still easy to get to. Is the well nut the same as the ones on the screen if they are it'll come in handy as one of mine needs replacing near the right hand mirror

has anyone fitted these yet?

Fitted mine soon after they arrived in the post :)

Haven't drilled a hole in the air box yet to mount them but probably will do that at some point. Currently tucked along a little metal bracket that's behind the idle adjustment screw.

It's just a shame you have to remove/replace the airbox to to the balancing, I find that to be a right pain in the ****! Have had to remove it numerous times recently due to a diagnosing/replacing a faulty STV sensor and it hasn't got any less annoying! :)

The extensions will definitely be a big time saver the next time I balance the TBs. Thanks a lot for making these up Bibio! :thumbsup:

With regards to mine, my bike is out of action at the mo while I get some new piston rings and valve seals ordered to stop the fecker smoking.

Once that's sorted, I'll be using my OBD gizmo, your apparatus and my carbtune to check everything.

Thank you Bibio, if I never have to get at that front vaccum nipple again it'll be too soon. Out of interest what was the thinking behind the T for the oiler? Was it for if you didn't already have one fitted? I didn't have to use it in the end.

yup. i seen you had already fitted the one in the scottoiler kit with that photo.

my brain must be on a rest year :(

kit was designed to insert as close as possible to the vacuum spigots and looking back on it i'll admit i was too busy thinking of the tails to realise that people would already have a T piece branched in.

Not at all, it works perfectly & I'm rather happy - only cut my hand once squeezing past the radiator :rolleyes:. I'd be interested to see if you can figure out an extention to the carb sync adjustment screw (kinda like the idle adjustment one) so then the airbox wouldn't have to come off ;)

if your fitting a scottoiler then sortof as the universal kit comes with one but they are a bit small but do the job.

difference is that the oiler kit comes with an added T piece to attach a scottoiler to the vacuum as the tails take up the vacuum point on the TB's/Carbs so you need to create another point to supply the vacuum to the oiler.

yup still doing them.

difference is that the oiler kit comes with an added T piece to attach a scottoiler to the vacuum as the tails take up the vacuum point on the TB's/Carbs so you need to create another point to supply the vacuum to the oiler.

if you already have a scottoiler on a curvy then a standard kit will do as you will have already branched a t piece in. if your planning on adding a scottoilier the you will need the T piece (oilier kit) or use the one supplied by Scottoiler.

so if you have a curvy but getting a second hand Scottoiler then you will need the oilier kit, if you already have a Scotoiler fitted then you will need a standard kit, if you have got a new in box Scottoiler then you will need the standard kit.

Hi Bibio, just run into my mate chez, and he is seriously beating me in the sv bling war, a new screen and a set of your carb things.
I can't stretch to a screen at the moment, but i recon i could afford a set of these and a potato for his exhaust.
