LED indy resistors help

Hi Ive just fitted led indys so decided to fit the inline resistors .they come with 2 wires on each side of the resistor .The question I have is do both wires fit in line to the circuit so that I will need four resistors I have tried this (Both directions)with no results..Any help is greatly appreciated

Wire the ballast resistor in parallel with each indicator. The Resistor acts as a sink for dumping current as heat.

Your other option is fit LEDs front and rear and fit a new flasher can designed for the low drain systems.
