View Full Version : Tilt sensor removal?
Just wondering can you bridge the tilt sensor. On going from my removal of datatool 3 alarm.
Regards Gareth
what do you want to do that for? have you tested the switch to ensure it's working ok?
The problem I got I removed a datatool alarm all seems to be back to standard but turn the ignition on the fuel pump does not prime, check comes on the display so I cant go into dealer mode the bike cranks over so something is disabling the fuel pump circuit. any help please
Have you checked the usual switches, side stand and clutch are working correctly?
forgot to add kill switch too
yes I've checked side stand, clutch kill switch etc I've looked through other forums gixxer 600 have the same problem but did not say if he fixed the problem he changed fuel relay ecm still no good.
i remember having problems with my bike after removing the alarm, cannot remember how i got it going int he end. However i do remember it was something to do with the 3 b + w wires the alarm was connected to in the loom
The wires in the loom are just spliced so can't understand I'm thinking of getting a wiring loom of ebay So I know everything is back to normal.
of what i remember i removed the alarm and all wires. then used the wiring diagram (Haynes manual) as to which wires go where and if power should be there. It was an ar$e ache and a half tracing all the wires, plugs and ensuring everything was doing what it should.
Have you tested your fuel pump to ensure that it does work?
yes the fuel pump works tested live to fuel pump yellow red wire , but there is no live in the fuel pump relay yellow red wire. but there is something wrong with the wiring I'm missing something I'm sure.
are you testing it with the ignition in the on position,? as far as i rememeber it receives a 'signal' telling it that it is ok to fire up the fuel pump.
Have you got a picture of your main connector block where all the wires go in to, as well as the loom section where the alarm is wired into. I'll compare it to mine.
Yes tested it in the on position I added some pictures 10722 this is the bridge i soldered in.1072310724these were the wires spliced into and where they went to10725t5his is a live spliced wire.this is where the fused wire entered the fuse box removed10727also removed wire from here earth.10728this is the black wires from the alarm10729also removed this diode just in case it was the problem.
Some reason some pictures haven't come out I'll try again10730 spliced wire and where it went
that seemed to work I'll get the other pics up10731this is the wire they cut 10732this wire was spliced.
i'll upload some pictures of my wiring tomorrow and compare what looks different. what year/model is your bike?
She's K5 650s thanks for all the help speak to you tomoz if you post approx time I'll jump on line.
Regards Gareth
Mine's a K3, so i think wiring should be the same essentially. It'll be in the morning, before 10 most likely.
Will take a picture of the main wiring block showing the wires going into it and their locations.
All pictures in there. Hope it helps to make some sense of what should be where
