Cleaning isn't really my thing Col, but I can do a decent job when I have to, about 2/3 the way through at the moment a few bits will need a polishing mop to get them back to standard, probably do that Friday.
I also got a load of bits the previous owner hadn't fitted, heated grips, handguards, a HID kit, as well as fitting the replacement footpeg (I've removed both at the moment).
Hopefully get another seat and fit one with a topbox (rather than a rack), and if I find a decent priced set of cans I may get those on it two, new rear tyre and C&S, all that should still bring it in under £2k.

How to make your bike look much better in two easy steps.
Step 1 - take dull, blurry picture using phone's camera.
Step 2 - take clear, sharp, bright picture using decent camera.
Simples!

Whilst I can't disagree with you Ian on the two different cameras or even on the two days apart, if you have a camera that takes off rust, re-lubes pivot points and washes the bike down, do let me know, it would have saved a great deal of time.......;)
just for you taken with the same camera on the same day...
All the wheels looked like this

and the otherside of the same wheel after a bit of de-greasing and elbow grease, looks like...

It's hard to actually see the improvements when the first pic is so blurry. If it was clearer, we'd be more able to admire your handiwork :D
It's looking good though.

I'd just got home from picking it up, my phone was on me, not the Dslr, but the whole bike was dull matt, so even a crystal clear image wouldn't have made a diffference.
Mind you easy enough to remedy, just turnup at Soho and see for yourself......:)

Nice looking bike there, looking very tidy now. A job well done I'd say!
Very nice!
Got some ironing you can have a crack at Mark...

my dear boy, ironing is what the wife does, when the occasion warrants I press...;)
fitted the handguards the previous owner provided, nice chunky alloy bar ones, should see me the winner in the "wingmirror wars" in the smoke....:)
