I crashed my sv today. Took a roundabout too fast and couldn't get enough lean in time so ended up going almost head on into the curb.
As a result the forks have been bent back and the bike is not ridable. Probably needs a new radiator too as its leaking.
Does anybody know how much it will cost to fix up. parts, labour etc.
I dont want to go through my insurance.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sorry to hear about your off. Glad to hear you're ok tho
Ideally get it checked out to make sure the frame isn't damaged first

Pretty hard to have accurate guess TBH.
Forks and a radiator probably £200.
Depends if you've knackered any other bits of front end.

If the forks are bend then what about the wheel/discs front axle ? how handy are you with the spanners ? getting the parts is only the first step, do you truely trust youself to check everything is safe?
Or are you after getting it done as a shop somewhere?
perhaps a few pics would give a better idea of what maybe damaged.
Cheers Mark.

Its a 650s 2007 fully faired.
I havnt had the time to asses the full extent of the damage due to work this week.
Im not mechanically savvy at all and would require a quote for a mechanics labour however transporting the bike would require a van.
Contemplating selling the bike as it is but no idea how much its worth.
Before the damage id say £2300-£2600 based on autotrader, ebay.
Year 2007, 20k miles, new road pilot 2s, new chain and sprocket.
With damage I'm clueless.

Madasaboy will have some of the parts you need, if he breaks his Pointy down

Delkevic radiator is about £140 new unless you find something second hand.

That's not too bad. But if the forks need replacing it will be more than £200 to have a pair fitted. I say get the frame checked as suggested above then fix, slowly if necssary. And the more you learn to do yourself, the cheaper it will be. Good luck.
