hi all
some might be aware i crashed my bike a little while ago and thus im selling the left overs. the bike has approx 14000 miles on it and has a data tool 3 and beawolf exhaust. i want to sell the bike as a whole but it is a cat b so it cannot be used on the road again. i think it will make a awesome track bike!!
bike starts first time and had its full service history. The bike sufffered a front end smash and as such needs forks ( just tubes i think) and the tank has a ding where my crotch dented it. it was fully faired but they are all broken as well as the nose cone.
there is no obvious damage to the frame that i can tell and the insurance company wrote it off based on photos so it never had a visual inspection from a engineer.
Im looking for 1500 onco. feel free to come and inspect to make sure it is what you need. bike is in se8 london.
cheers

Break it for spares, which is a shame, as most of it is cosmetic
Would make a good basis for a track bike

Just to add - you'll make more breaking than selling as a whole.
Engine alone may get you £4-600 if in good nick.
Add on everything else - I know a set of wheels can go for a couple of hundred and are in demand by a couple of racers at the minute.

did the beowolf exhaust get through unscathed ? If so how much would you sell it for?
badsaboy
28-05-12, 05:55 PM
The exhaust wasn't in the best of nik in the first place. I'll try get a up close pic soon. Probably wednesday. If I decide to strip which looks likely I'll post info here.
Could I still get those mirror extender rubbers please mate? No "stripping" required to get them off really.
Thanks

anyone know what starting bid i should put on the bike if i put it on ebay?
Hey, if u wana strip that bike let me no, there are a few parts I would like to take off of ur hands, ie. Gear change lever, rear brake light switch, rear brake lever spring and the part that holds the barrel in for seat lock? If these are available I will collect them wenever u are ready...for the right price!

Hiya Justin,
Sorry if this is bad news but Ive been breaking bikes for over a year now and your four biggest assests are: Wheels, Forks, Frame and Engine. 2 out of 4 of those on yours are only good for scrap weight.
There isnt £1250 worth of salvageable parts there, the engine is about your biggest earner at £300-500 depending on mileage/damage etc. With that in mind I dont think you'd be able to sell the bike as a whole as most of those interested in buying it will only look what they can get from salvage returns and as they'lll struggle to recive £1000 after all fees etc. They wont want to spend over £700 getting thier hands on it.
IMHO the way you'll earn the most is to strip it for parts yourself mate and I'll wager you'll not struggle to make the £1000 yourself (more if you do sales outside of ebay).

Are you friendly with anyone who owns a garage? You'll be stunned at how quick stripping one down is.
Make 3 piles.
1 - Knackered plastics
2 - Knackered metals (weighing in pile)
3 - Stuff to sell.
Dont just look at stuff as whole though, look at what you can strip furter. Eg the forks, although the uppers are toast, the springs and lowers could be fine and may fetch a few quid on ebay or here.

I'd put an ad on Motoforum, some on there will be either looking for parts or a bike to convert to a racebike.
hi,is this still for sale or have you started to strip it
cheers

Ditto Fozzy!
Do you have a pic of the bike in its current crashed state. May be interested in a track project

Hi Stu
the bike is as the top pictures except for the mirror spacers which I have removed. I havent refitted the wing mirrors but they are both there and intact. You are welcome to come round and have a look for yourself if possible.

HI
Might be interested in complete engine (or even just bottom end) if price logistics can be sorted out, that is if you decide to strip it.
