Nurburgring this weekend - a taster.

Took the new bike back across, Friday night was wet, Saturday and Sunday dry. By the end I was getting used to the new bike and remembering lines after 1 year and a half off. Great to be back.

I can definitely tell the power difference of the R1 over my old 750, very useful on some sections. The stiffer suspension (it has had a few mods done by MCT) means the feedback is different, but it holds a line at speed much better. The bike does feel physically bigger than the 750 which isn't surprising with a higher seat.

Looking forward to the next trip mid June :)

I reckon we should organise an org meetup at the Ring, I'm aiming to get back there later in the year. Would love to follow someone who knows their way round *hint hint* Tim ;)

Nice looking R1 Tim. Can't go wrong with MCT

how were your time on the R1. I think you were quicker on the GSXR than the SV on the first visit when you changed but I'm guessing you were being more cautious with the R1 in and out of the corners but enjoying the power
