Well I've just come home from a bike ride, now I'm abit on the fat side ( ask yc) and not as fit as I used to be, so started the diet and exercise yesterday, only did 12 mile yesterday in a hour, but tonight I've done 32 miles of hills and ****e roads continuesly in 2hr 5 minutes, do average speed of 15.2mph, and well I'm knackered.
I hate dieting too!! I'm too much of a chocoholic
Josh
P.s it is the first time in over a year I've been out for a proper ride on a push bike

Just keep going with it, you will begin to feel better.
It more about what you eat, when you eat it also if your doing a long ride make sure you have something eat with you as well. If you really want to lose weight eat less, drink less beer!

I am eating less, and cutting out a lot, just sticking to my 3 square meals a day,
I don't drink alcohol at all :(

No alcohol, that's your problem right there.

Those were my thoughts exactly! 32 miles is nowt to be sniffed at, far more than I could do!
Stick at it Josh and the weight will fall off with that much exercise. I've lost over 2stone in 3 months just by eating smaller portion and no choc... sadly the lager/Guinness intake has also been cut back.

We picked up a second hand cross trainer recently for just over £100. Obviously the Mrs never uses it (the lazy unfit cow), but I've slotted it into my routine now. Once I finish work, onto the cross trainer, which is located in front of the PC, cue up a load of YouTube videos, and then half an hour of entertainment and exercise. Ok, it's not exactly 2.5 hrs of hardcore cycling, but it's convenient and I do it every day. As someone who spends their life behind a computer, it's enough for me.
Might be worth considering if you want a more easily sustainable exercise routine.

Well tonight I was knackered after a tiring day at work.
I did 7.78 miles around 40 minutes, which was pretty slow, I did take it easy though and was on the phone through the headphones for a mile or two. Oh well out tomorrow day on bike as day off, wonder how many I'll do. However did slack a little on diet today :( a woman gave us some biscuit bars for our bru's and had 2 :'(

just as a small thing i'm told all the time is that 5 smaller meals a day (if you can manage to fit them in) is better than 3 large ones, spreads out the energy throughout the day and stops you snacking as much between meals, having more protein and less carbs has a similar effect, e.g. chicken breast and salad instead of potato's or rice, even swapping white pasta and rice for brown wholemeal pasta and rice.
other tip we have always been given if you are a lover of chocolate is to try and eat dark choc rather than milk or white, contains less sugars i believe. best of luck anyway!

Nuts.
Are great for controlling your energy levels and keeping you feel full throughout the day. If you snack on crap like crisps or whatever and feel hungry afterwards - try some nuts. I have a box at work within grabbing distance so I can munch on the nuts - big and small ones whenever I fancy.
