Forecast says hot. I like hot.
Saturday or sunday best? Maybe a change of area this time, you lot seemed to find the Pirbright bends quite good last time you went up there, and my mate drove me through a rode which I quite liked the other day between Elvetham Heath and Fleet, later found out it's called the 'Fleet Bends', so could head up that way aswell.
Oh and a later start this time... 1200 sound good? ;)

Since you only do about 5 miles of the trip before heading home, it'd make more sense for us to start early, clock up some miles, then meet you somewhere once you've got out of bed. ;)

I'm about this weekend, I'll be in Andover on sat but might be able to make something work in the aftErnoon. Sun, I'm free all day.
I'll be at Snett for BSB weekend!!!
i am about, curious about these 'fleet bends' as the road between elvetham heath and fleet is almost dead straight? Pirbright bends are good for me and we can just hoon it up and down there all day :)
I'll see how it goes, but at the minute I can barely move. I've trapped a nerve or something in my neck/shoulder. :-(

Ouch! Or do you really mean, the Mrs beat the crap out of you for asking if you could go biking this weekend? :smt062 Not good mate. And I wanted to see your new cam footage too.
Awesome day for a ride out today, but the bike is in bits in the garage. Did the coolant yesterday and am expecting plugs + filter in the post, so didn't bother putting it back together. No rides for me until the weekend.

Would be up for this but have my lad this weekend so am restricted to more sedate fun.
Will have to make do with a belt out tomorrow evening.
I hope I can nip out tomorrow, but we'll see.
And Simon, if it was the wife it would be allover pain!
And I wouldn't bother with the Pirbright bends. Went there today and they are resurfacing with gravel. It's ****

Theyre resurfacign everywhere at the moment. Its horrendous.
Yeah. When we went to the coast the week before last it was gravel City. Chichester was all gravel!

Am up for a blast wednesday, and saturday or sunday or both! text me (Nathan) where & when to meet up!, my No is 07919902425:thumbsup:
I'm probably not out this weekend. Just cleared out my entire brownie-point account with a 6 day blast round France.
Imagine how dull it must have been with 12 bikes doing just under 1,500 miles staying in a chateau just north of Cognac with the chateau owner being a hard-core biker. To make it worse I was by far the most under-powered bike in the group having to plod about with blokes on 1198's an RSV-R several K1300's (blimey they shift and sound great with a aka with no baffles and a quick-shifter) couple of R1's a busa, a blackbird and a couple 2-up on a GS.
Not saying it was "progressive" or anything but the GS was getting the pegs down 2-up!!!
If ever you find yourself in need of doing some amazing roads at interesting speeds then head over to mid-France!
However you will need to get up early and fill your tank about 4 times a day and none of the routes included Loomies so maybe a bit too "out there" for the newly re-vitilised GM!
If you do get out this weekend then have fun but try not to go too mad in the sunshine. The road is just as hard when it's warm!

@Mark_H - I feel like you are the father figure of the Guildford Massive. The little bits of advice. The wise words. Can you lend me some money and give me a lift to the pub?

No you'd have hated it too :) Maybe if I'd bungied your fairing onto my rack it would have done the job.
Was hard being MUCH slower than the rest of them no matter how hard I tried. I think I need a lot more practice before I go out with that lot again. And get my front suspension oil changed as it was a bit disconcerting having the front wash-out once in a while and the general consensus was that my forks are full of sludge where the oil used to be. Apparently Spain next time!!

I can cope with being "The Daddy" however it's father's day soon so unless you want to be grounded I expect an orderly queue to :-
a) clean my bike
b) remove several million dead flies from my kit
c) help me do something about my forks and
d) bring your young ladies round for me to lust after.
~And turn that bloody music down. There's no real words and you can't dance to it!

Oh come on now. Can you not be one of those dads that left when we were 8 and now feels really guilty, causing you to buy us lots of expensive presents and let us get away with murder in order to make up for it? I think we all know that makes much more sense.

Tom, just been looking and I think it's the Minley road, google map links shows from the A30, the roundabout where 1 exit goes towards fleet, one to yateley, 1 to fboro and 1 to basingstoke.

Wayne, yes that definitely does rule me out!!
Went out on the alton route today and was surprised by the lack of bikes, though to be fair it was absoloutely roasting. No air vents in my trousers, really need to sort that one out.
ahh i know the road very well indeed as i must have been along it hundreds of times.

Leave your flies undone. :riding:
My gear is waterproof. Which I now realise translates to "when it's warm, you will cook inside".
That's how they cook the chicken in posh restaurants. Put it in a frank Thomas jacket and leave at 30 degrees.

Problem is there is then a very significant risk of entanglement in the rear wheel should the old todger make a break for freedom from the boxers! Damn risky this motorcycling business.
Given your forum name I can only assume you have the same problem!

You both knows it. Why do you think I'm skinny? It sucks all the blood from the rest of my body, that's why. It's like a vampire python bleeding me dry. hehehehe.
Well it's over an inch anyway.
