is the day when I find out if the social services have manage to persuade the ex to give up the kids to me full time.If she wont then with their backing it looks like Im back in court . This is going to be a massive change ,instead of them living with me for 3 nights a week it will be full time,so looks like I will have to give up work and be a stay at home parent .
Everything in my life is on hold at the moment until things are sorted.
Any blokes on here ever been a "full time" single dad.
Kids gotta come first

Good luck man.

I only see my daughter once every four weeks because of how life has gone, but, what is best for the kids is what matters most, you're right

Idont know your story but i hope you get the best outcome for the kids. Ive been a lone parent for the last 4 years. Aspects of it have been difficult but tbh i wouldnt change it!!

One of our friends is a single dad with 2 kids. He still manages to work full time. Has one nanny who looks after them in the morning and gets them to school, another nanny collects them from school and looks after them until he gets home from work.

It's not cheap, but more cost effective than not working for him...

the only problem with nannys etc if the fact that my lad is Autistic and would have great dificulties with strangers or routine changes.

:thumbsup:Hey, just wishing you good luck. What a dilemma/ challenge you face. How you going to do fund it all, kids cost loads! If it's the Country's welfare support, in part or whole, I don't resent you it for a minute. TBH most blokes I know would run a mile.
