New Battery Query

Just a quick one;
After adding acid to a new battery (gel). Must you wait before installing it? If so for how long. Also is it wise to use a maintainer straight away or should it be good for a while?

Adding acid to a gel battery?
If its a gel battery there should be no need to add acid at all.

Put a volt meter across the battery and test its got 12v (11.3 I think is about right) then pop it on the bike and ride away. If you have an optimate and dont ride very often then by all means plug it into the optimate when you arrive back home.

If its a gel battery dude it should be just plug and play on arrival.

Haha, I presume you received the fluid with the battery and instructions to instal. I'm sure you also found that after leaving it to sit for 30 minutes it worked fine once installed. As long as you can start the bike then the battery should take care of itself.
