Ethan James born 24/05/12 13:36 6lb3&1/2. 36wks 6days.

Baby and Mum doing fine but as he was just one day under 37wks, and Sarahs waters broke more than 24hours before delivery, we have to stay in waiting for some tests/cultures (risk of infection).

As he came a little sooner than anticipated, between visits, i've still got to do some diy. Thought i'd be a sad Dad and post a pic. Just glad they are both safe and sound.:D

Last night we slept for 3 hours at a time without him waking up! It was awesome.

Your mileage may vary...

Don't worry, i'm sure you'll be fine.

Best advice i can give you is don't have a rigid plan. That way if things deviate from the norm you don't begin to unduly worry. Sam was an emergancy C after many hours of pushing. Oddly, this time Sarah and baby will be staying in longer than last time!

Chillax. Go with the flow.

Btw. If you/your partner have any definiate request (unless circumstances prevent it) like cutting the cord etc., speak up during as the staff don't always get chance to double check.

Ps i cut Ethans thus time, not a surgen ;)
