Can anyone highlight any possible issues with running an exhaust like this one in the link?

It's very short. Any issues with back pressure, fuel consumption and power? I wonder if it will all be negative effects apart from the sound obviously.

Cheers

Chris

I used to use the exhaust, it is very loud it runs at 105db with baffle in, i didnt have any problem with the running while it was on or notice any more fuel consumption at all

On Denmark where i live, the legal limit is 90db but i run without bafler in mine, an i have been stoped several times, but never because of that. It looks cool, thinking about buying One my self, but i like the high mount.

Oh my dear Lord.....if you thought rim tape was chavvy....check out the tyre tread paint FLMAO!

As for the exhaust, surely that's just a link pipe painted black and chamfered at the end?!

they are "harsh" to say the least, I personally don't like the sound or particularly the look, but more importantly I think they just breach the "draw plods attention" bracket, I know it's personal choice but my Peg's mivv cans were like that on the sound front and after a few hours riding I had to do something to quiet them down.

But you want some tyre tread paint right?

that was an American trend a few years back a progression on the white "firestone" sidewall treatment, sometimes it's better not to stand out ;)

in other words.....no

Hello there,

A fellow SV riding friend of mine runs a set of laser extremes like these

http://www.bikebits4you.com/images/extreme%20hornet.JPG

From an R6. Runs fine with the baffles in. and still the loudest bike i know. (no one ever thinks it has the baffles in)

However, if you take the baffles out it becomes completely straight through and at motorway speeds suffers a serious loss in power. It's also so loud its overpowering. Guarantied to get you noticed by the police.
