Why would you stick a TL motor in a 916?

The explanation tells you why, somebody had a rolling chassis so had the bright idea of dropping the tl lump in it. Better chassis than the tl in the first place.

I like it :) and as too your why? It had no engine so someone stuck the TL one in

Why the hell not?

TL1000R is a brilliant engine which can be mental. The duc engines are horrible to work on and break a lot.

The entire process is justified by the following scenario:

You ride up on your beautiful 916, pull the clutch in, and no one thinks you've got a set of spanners loose in the crank cases :)

^^^^This

However I am biased in the opinion that any TL motor in an Italian, well handling suit, is a good thing :smt080

Fair point, which I will concede
We've got the SB8 for that tho ;)

Or you can get it wet but it'll cost you :-P

Like a beautiful woman after 17 pints... that feeling of rolling over in the morning and seeing "AAHHHHRRRG" ... is when you need to service it.

I reckon most Ducati owners have burned more calories boasting about Sex than actually doing it

Worth doing just so you could call it a Ducuzi.

So rather than it sounding like a bag of spanners, will it sound like a fat bloke ripping a fart in water? :smt005

Everyone assumes that being beautiful means it'll be a fantastic ride, and often they are disappointed?
