Ooops, teach me to skim read :)
At least you get an idea the difference in the reflectivity of the satin and the shiny.
I figure it wont be that different from your own edit.

I have a black painted tank - its sitting in my spare room :)
It worked out that when my tank was empty I didnt have time to swap and when I had time to swap, the tank was full.
So I chucked a Bagster Tank cover on it :p

Soul that satin black does actually look really good. Think I'll spray my hugger and front mudguard that colour when I paint the rest of my bike yellow and the frame black. Did you do it yourself?

Yep, DIY with Halfords finest Satin Black :)
Bike will be available for inspection @ the AR :p

I'd get it redone in the original colour

It's about £500 to get the nose cone and rear fairings sprayed original colour or £75 to get the Matt black bits done and make it a little different

You could buy a new nose and panel for about £450 in perfect colour match.
TBH, mask it up, fill it, rub it down and spray it yourself, get the paint from RS Bike Paint, should be a good match.
not a big job really - I did all you see in Satin Black myself over the Easter Bank Holiday last year.
Matt film is the way to go. Cheaper and replacable when scratched. So wrap it as NTEC says
