Will have a brand new battery fitted because I haven't used it in a while
£2800, really need a quick sale!
Original thread:
Hi all, I'm looking to sell my beloved SV650s.
I spent weeks and months working on during this cold, cold winter and now I have to put it up for sale.
It's an 07, very well looked after customised sv650, here's the thread Milage is around 18k. Recently passed MOT and road tax till June 2013
Here is the link to the thread that shows all the customisation and Before & After pics (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=175023)
And here are a couple of pictures of my beauty.

So if you want a truly unique and immaculate sv650s, then look no further. You'll be sure to stand out of any crowd and everyone will look on to admire your bike! (Trust me, I'm talking from experience).
Regarding the price, I'm not really sure but I'm open to offers.
I'll say £3,000 ONO. (sorry if it seems way over the top, I'm genuinely not sure as I purchased it for nearly £3.5k last year)

Stunning bike! But I can't believe you've done all that work to it but you still haven't replaced the rear seat with a seat cowl lol. I guess you do a lot of miles 2 up?

PS probably one of the nicest SV's I've seen imo.
Thanks guys, months later and I still really appreciate your comments and PM's! Very touching.
Reason why I haven't put a rear seat cowl is because my wife is usually a passenger so it was a lot of hassel to take on/off on/off etc.
It's worth the money. Nice bike.
Thanks, I'll leave it on here for a week or so to see if there are any takers, if not I will put it up on eBay.

I suppose the colour scheme would be a personal thing but its worth 3K all day long.

Cheers. I hope I can get that much for it, would be great for my current situation.
Actually I need a some of advice.
My insurance for this bike runs out on Sept 1st, and if all goes well by then - that should give me 3 years no claims discount.
Do you guys recommend that I wait till September and sell it then (to get the 3 years NCD) Or just sell it now?

Personally, I'd get some more riding out of it and sell in Sept.

I'd say get the no claims. Go on a comparison site and put in your details now and then make yourself a year older, with an extra year on your license and an extra years no claims and see what the average drop is, then decide for yourself.

You'd have to let the insurance run anyway to get the no claims so might aswell ride it until then.
Quick question on your mirrors, do you still get a decent view in them as they look a bit shorter than standard mirrors? I do like them though might have to invest if they're OK.
If the bike sells, just let the insurance run on anyway and you will still get your NCD wether you have the bike or not.
everyone has their own views on insurance.. But I was in a similar situation about 18 months ago.. I sold my R6, at 10 months into my policy. (i paid my policy up front in full) I was at 5 years NCB coming up to 6.. I rang the insurance company and asked if i would get any money back for canceling and they said no, as the end was so close.. in the end I just left the insurance running for the last 2 months to get my 6 years..
(I will probably get Flamed and people say that's illegal.. but hey ho, people have done worse :batman:)

Ill stand corrected on this but i think 4 years NCB on a motorbike is the maximum. Anything above that doesnt really matter anyway...
Lets stick to the original purpose of this thread shall we - selling a bike. Other chit chat can go in a new thread in a different section, or off to pm.

Thanks!
Selling because I need the cash, unfortunately.
This is not a "paint job" but a Vinyl job. How ever, there are some sprayed components here and there.
I will be willing to design and install the designs into others bikes - for the right price.

I don't want to be negative but at this time of year £3k may be a little optimistic- it is lovely but it is relatively high mileage.
But I hope you get what you want for it, good luck.
SOLD
Congratulations to new buyer, gutted to see my bike off.
