I actually finished the Great Manchester Cycle in an good time.
I completed all 52 miles in 2hours 57minutes and 15 seconds
finished in the end 899th out of about 1500 people
average speed 17.63 mph
pos: 292th in my age group ( 0-34)

so im very proud of myself today

Well done , thats impressive.
I rode to Amsterdam many years ago averaging about 60 miles a day, but in nowhere near the average speed you have done.
As an aside, we have a guy at work who rides about 60 miles to work and back most days, and a day out riding for him is about 100-150 miles. Staggering, the guy is probably only 7 stone wet.
