It's the new vasectomy....they use a laser to cook your balls, much like a microwave. Less invasive than a knife job....trust me...
Maybe they want to audition you for the new Star Wars film?!
Seriously, rather than get loads of speculation, most of which will scare the t!ts off you, you best ask your oncologist. There's lots of different types of laser, all used for many different things - maybe you've got some ugly tattoo's...

Does it say who you're seeing at the hospital or what part of it?

They don't just send random appointments out without telling you what it's for, they must have told you something at an earlier consultation.

To be fair, Joe's mind was probably a bit generally scrambled - it's difficult to take everything in, especially as it was all a bit sudden.

They may have mentioned chopping your legs off with a laser as a last resort for later, but you just might not remember;)

They will explain everything before they do anything anyway. Just don't forget to ask.

Your not really going to find much help on a bike forum by saying "Hey , I got a letter , what`s that all about ?"
Ring the number on the letter , quote the Patient Number when asked for it , glean details , put phone down .... job done

To see if you've been up to anything that could make you go blind!

Lasers are used for things like hair reduction, Tattoo removal, eye lens reshaping and even muscle regeneration, who knows what new fangled thing they have come up with for which a Q-Switched welding laser can be used. Just phone them up and ask them what they are up to, you may have someone else appointment sent to you because of a mistake.
By the way, I have been told by a woman I knew that having tattoos removed with a laser is more painful than having them done in the first place! Mind you, I cannot imagine why anyone would want tattoos removed, I love mine dearly. :D

Sharks are very expensive and the tree huggers get annoyed when you fit lasers to them. Looks like you might be part of "plan B".

Perhaps relevant:

The author of the comics has cancer so some of them are pertinent.

Joe, a mate of mine is a cancer research scientist who happens to specialise in your type. I mentioned you to him and he said that 10 years ago, you'd have had no chance. But so long as you keep taking those tablets you should have a normal life. No idea about the laser. I haven't seen him this weekend to ask if he knows what that could be about. Suspect that it's probably to burn your balls off to stop you reproducing.
