I'm trying to find an alarm that doesn't make me want to throw my phone at the wall. One that I can leave playing while I slowly wake up :) instead of switching it off straight away then falling asleep again

Any recommendations?

the radio.

oohhh and switching it off and falling asleep is easy to overcome by placing the alarm at the other and of the room so you have to get up to switch it off.

I use one on my Samsung Galaxy SII , it gradually gets louder and doesn`t have an offensive sound

Normal weekdays I have the very annoying buzzer on the clock to wake me up. Anything else, I've got AlarmDroid on my phone. I use the speaking alarm message, usually something slightly humourous along the lines of "I know it's Sunday but you've got to get up anyway" and the weather which then turns into a music track. And a five minute snooze. MUST have a five minute snooze

I have blur - parklife as a tone, also supergrass - alright, I found that leaving the phone at the other side of the room works good cos if its at the side of me I just snooze it and go back to bed.

This!

But I'm starting to get immune to it. Really need something worse to wake me up.

Try not to use a song that you're even half keen on because you'll end up hating it.

download this app (is for iphone but there must be the android version if you need it): sleep Cycle.
Fantastic system to wake you up slowly according to your sleep cycle and definitely sweet alarm sounds!
the system is simple: 30 minutes before the set time analyze yout movements (i've to put the phone on the bed of course) and as soon as your sleep becomes "light" it will ring..to snooze it u just have to tap twice on the phone (the accelerometer will do the job) and it will ring after some minutes until the set time when it will ring and vibrate without stopping until u exit the app..
as a trader changed completely the quality of my nights: i often have to wake up early to take a look at the asian market and everytime i feel absolutely relaxed and never wrecked!!

+1 on the Sleep Cycle app, I was very sceptical but have to say it's really effective.

If it was me I'd have a air-raid siren.
Or V8 rumble ;)

These are good, but for your phone just download one of the sounds listed in the advert or go for radio.

I now have the opposite problem I currently have 4 alarm clocks and none of them wake me up (although they do the neighbours apparently)
Count yourself lucky!

I have to have noise to go to sleep, so we keep the TV on all night, if it goes off (like last night with a power out) I am woken by the silence.
