View Full Version : The big Thank you Thread
A massive thanks to
Just a massive thanks to Jonathan, Clare and Sally for sorting all this out and for a great day.
Never underestimate the work that goes into arranging an AR no matter how big or small.
And a massive thanks to all those that attended and made it what it was.
Until next year...
Yep, a big pat on the back to the organisers. And also a big pat on the back to all who attended, despite the forecast.

thanks added from me as well to Clare, Jonathan, Sally and all the marshalls and pre rideout people etc... And big man at the top for keeping the rains away! It's never an AR unless people from all over the UK make the effort to attend regardless of the weather forecast. Thank you to everyone making the effort to attend and making it a great event.

Yep, a huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the AR this year. Sally, Jonathan, Claire and all the markers.
It was great to see some old faces and a few people I've not met before. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

Big thanks to everyone for a brilliant weekend, good to see the old lot and all the new faces that made it down.
Now bring on next year.
Thank you so much to:
Jonathan - For leading, planning an executing a fantastic ride out
Clare - For organising everything that wasn't the ride out
Sid Squid - For letting me sleep in his tent, taking the token mechanical issue for the team, for being T.E.C and for being Sid Squid
Anna - For turning up all the way from Portugal, and being my dedicated waver
Dave Preston - For making the AR loud and entertaining as ever
Paul the 6th - For being a top bloke through the whole weekend including standing perilously close to the fire in what I suspect was quite a flammable crayola costume on Saturday night
Zig & Verna - For taking some of my stuff back at short notice!
Everyone - For not letting Dave Preston have a megaphone, for having a laugh, and for riding brilliantly. I didn't hear a single complaint about anyone's riding, which for the combined mileage covered was very cool.
The Weather - For exceeding all expectations
Roll on next year!

I'd like to add my thanks to organizers and attendees as well. Brilliant roads and a quality company.
Special thanks to:
Cazza for leading me there
Sid for blessing me with TEC bib for a moment
Supervox for planning the AR route and then to Southend
and all the ones wearing yellow bibs for making this all special.
Oh and a big thank you to the person that brought free booze. Sadly I dont know your name.

Hey everyone, thanks for coming. It was great to see you all and Jon did a great job of showing off the Essex roads, which may be flat but are never boring.
Pookie brought the free booze mostly, and I threw in a case of beer. Save Preston contributed something pink, sticky and odd smelling.
James in the pub will welcome us back as we are a well behaved bunch really. And Andy the catering man said he'd had fun looking after us.
Thanks from me go to everyone who helped me put up tents, clear up rubbish, build a fire, carry my change, car keys, bat phone etc as I had no pockets, count up the campers and work out the money when I kept getting confused.
Thanks to Chrissywissy8886 who as always sacrificed a bit of his fun to give me lifts pillion on Friday and today.
And also to Paul 6th for doing brilliant t-shirts, some after deadline, in a flattering fit. Then turning up looking like a drunk carrot on steroids.

Sv mad (Chris) has the nicest eyes ever & is really sweet for someone who's in the forces lol, fallout you dirty dog she probably wasn't even 18 (is that really her mobile number in pm?) and Craig criggers you funny guy lol "I'm a pick axe! Big thanks from me to everyone that helped put the AR together.
It takes a lot of work before, during and after to put something like that together.
Marvellous! Cheers again.
Echo the sentiments - big thanks to Jonathan and Clare, without their reminders (and Cazza's too), I would never have made it and had such a great day. Of course, to everyone else involved as well.
Fantastic to see everyone after what has been quite a while off the scene, it really reminds me what I've been missing!
Thanks all for a awesome AR!
Good to catch up and meet everyone new and old :D

You did, but I thought of you as I used the sleeping bags you left in Wem this weekend. Christopher had one of them and Chris8886 used the other as extra insulation against the cold. So thanks for that donation.

Always great to get hugs for the hug bank.
Thank you to Matt & Anna for their superb tent erecting skills
Well after seeing what a terrible job of putting up his own tent I thought I ought to help out to make sure you had somewhere to stay ;)
Anna - For turning up all the way from Portugal, and being my dedicated waver

Can I just add (now I have had some kip and feel a bit more normal!) an enormous thank you to Essex Dave for picking me up and letting me borrow a sleeping bag, you are indeed a top man.
Soulkiss for the use of his tent, I hope that I packed it away relatively ok, it looked very neat when I opened it to put it up and I dont think it looked anything like that when I packed it up!
Idle Biker for allowing me the use of his airbed, all be it an unexpected loan.
Thanks guys!

Yeah nice one guys had a real good rideout. Gutted I missed the shindig afterwards, Clare said it was a right laugh. I had my bday bash to attend back in Chelmsford so I had to hit the gates early.
See ya soon,
