Then this could be a day out for you to enjoy!

Birds on bikes get in free, I shall be going....weather and chain permitting. A great day out, taxi run is usually twice, to hear the Lancaster running is awesome. They have a small museum, which is worth popping in and exploring. Dependant on weather depends what exotic bikes turn up. Its not just Buells and Italians when its sunny :D

WOW!
The spitfire display is just gleaming in my little eye. 119 miles away no problemo.

Definately going.

Sorry Nobby, I've been out.

An event on the 21st July is to be held here....
http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/

Its a charity day, that the Buell forum hold in memory of one of their past members every year. Lots of other Italian bike owners turn up, occasionally other groups too.
Girls on bikes free. Admission for everyone else £7. Proceeds go to the Papworth Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Unit.
Sorry theres no actual link, just the photo of the flyer, and the link to the museum...

Does that help any?

Wonderfuel...thanks!

Merci beacuoup!

Do birds on bikes include pillions?

Do we have to put up with a load of V-Rap nonsensespeak when we get there? ;)

You know.....I'm not entirely sure!
I think it includes pillions, I shall enquire. :)

There never used to be many Raptor owners there, but in 2010 ten of the buggers turned up. Since last years AR there has been quite a lot of folk looking forward to meeting up, they are making a weekend of it and are camping nearby, hey theres even been a couple fall in love (Weirdo and Cagiva girl, the lass with the dog on the bike)......so I'm afraid Nobby, you might just have to put up with lots more of them this time!!!

You are more likely to have to put up with a few hundred Buell owners though

Please find out about the female pillion situation :)
If I'm not on my own bike I'll be a pillion

I remember having a cracking do with a bloke on a V raptor on the way to this last time.

MYC on the back, SV sideways spraying gravel on the exit of this roundabout... about 5 yards behind this raptor, absolutely pinned. Nice noise :)
Thou engine may be fast in straight but not corners so well http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/forum/smileys/beardbng.gif

Pretty interesting roads round there too depending what you like... generally short straights connected by 90 degree bends, generally grippy but blind.

If I'm not on my own bike

I shall probably put in an appearance not only because the Pegaso is Italian, but off course to see the lovely Dizzy one.

Cheers Mark.

...

Yeahhhhhhh right

You do know he was playing with you.....yes?

He probably wasn't even trying

Takes a lot of skill to get a 1000 round a corner....you can't pin the throttle like you do on your SV......or that gravel will be round your ass with yer head following behind!

Wallowing about knee down with pegs scraping... didn't look like he could have tried much harder to me. Fair skills to keep a misbehaving bike pointing the right way like that!

Of course I had no skill at all to follow, just chuck it in and let the suspension sort out the hamfisted inputs to the controls... :-P

My diary is clear, and a chance to do one of my favourite rides - Nth Yorks Moors, then Yorks Wolds, across the bridge and onto Barnetby Le Wold, and down the Lincs Wolds via Caistor to Horncastle on the old Lincolnshire High St, East Kirkby/Spilsby.
