Please see Guildford Massive area for more info.
We are looking to stay around the Bodmin area, good cheap campsite with onsite facilities, or good facilities nearby.
I figure seeing as you guys live down here(ish) you would be good to meet up with, see some local sites and also the roads/routes.
If you're interested in joining us, please register your interest in the GM

Thanks

Only a week away now, if you're around next week let us know and come say hi! Our rough itinerary is in the GM thread-Bodmin Info for Saturdays ride out plan

If you guys pass by Weston Super Mare on the way south and I will try to come and say hello, meet you in a services at say Portishead and drop you at Taunton Dean? :D

I have just been stopped from riding for a week by my GP because I have strained my shoulder, so I could do with a ride out!

By the way, Bodmin Moor is common land, so wild camping is legal, just stay off the road and move every morning! Watch out for the Panther though! ;-)

Hi Jayne,

We've booked in at a camp site on the South side of Bodmin! We'll be coming in from the East side, either on the A30 if we're nackered and it's raining, through Dartmoor national park or south of the park. Our aim is to avoid all mtotorways, and as much dual carriageway as possible!

If you go south of Dartmoor, avoid the A38 if the weather is good. It is one of the most boring roads in the region and in places it is three lanes of dullness. It is possible to to go over the moor for better views, plus a more spirited ride and the wandering sheep keep you on your toes.

It sounds like you guys are going to have a blast, have a great time and ride safe down there. Watch out for the locals, some of whom have seven fingers on each hand, they love to catch them a townie to play with! ;-)
