Hi all,

Just bought myself a k4 and really happy with it, just discovered a screw in the tyre though. Opting to change the tyre and was just wondering if i went to a tyre fitter how much should they be charging for a used tyre. Ball park figure.

Im new to bikes and dont want to be mugged off because of it.

Cheers

Josh

Depends on the tyre. Generally it's not common for garages to sell used tyres on bikes.

I've never heard on it, at garages. I know my breaker sells tyres, but most stick them on a rim for a rebuild or lay up.

It maybe worth doing both with new, if the front is looking low

Isn't a plug normally around a tenner?

Then again I live in London so everything is generally exspensive. But that is what I paid last time and I've had no issue with it since. Mine was a killer as it happened on the way to mot and I got a screw in the tyre.

If you don't take the wheel off then your going to pay extra.

Where did you go?

Essential Rubber only took £20 off me for a repair at the beginning of the month (on the way to the AR)
