Currently fitting an evotech tail tidy and I am at the stage where I am swapping the indicators and number plate light onto the tail tidy. I cannot for the hell of me get the indicators off!! The bolts were corroded stuck but now that I have finally loosened them and can turn them, they appear to be just turning and not unbolting from the thread. Anybody any ideas as to what to do? Or should I just buy new indicators, they really dont seem that they want to come off! The number plate light screws are also badly corroded and currently have them sitting in a pool of WD40 to try and loosen them up and get a starhead in there. Thanks in advance!

it's well known that Suzuki use a cheese/metal substitute for most of their bolts, so anyhting over a year or two old well require a little "persuading", sounds like the thread on the indicator stalks has come away from the stem moulding, personally I'd grind off the nut and replace it, but you could try a good pair of molegrips to crush the rubberized stalk and see if you can move the nut on the thread, or possibly just pull them off and glue the thread back in afterwards, as to the screws, they will only take a certain amount of force before the heads are chewed up, a good fitting screwdriver bit on an impact gun would be my call, but failing that drill the heads off and remove the remaining thread with pliers.
Cheers Mark.

Thanks for the reply Mark.
Yea cheese sounds about right lol. Put the whole lot back together as in need of the bike over the next few days but think I will resort to your method of drilling them out next time round. Fat waste of time but lesson learnt for next time. Thanks again!

stick you location in your profile (comes out under your avatar) and you may find someone local who will give you a hand?
Cheers Mark.
