Good old Paxo
I've not liked this particular lady for sometime, and shes just career MP, never done a days real work in her life.
Face fits, she'll be our MP for such & such a place.
Couldn't give a straight answer to a straight question
Mrs DJ Fridge

Come on face facts, there is no way she could give a straight answer, she did not know what the answer was.

Fudge
And by doing so she actually looks like a liar, and someone(and her party) who has something to hide.

Slam dunk as they say. I would never try to lie to that fecker. Best just be straight up and tell him you're not prepared to answer.
Remember the one with Jeremy v Michael Howard re: the prison Governor.....excruciating.
He started aggressively and got progressively worse, what was she to do? His initial question of when she found out was totally irrelevant - it had no bearing on the topic being discussed. Did it matter if she'd found out 7 days or 7 minutes before she went on air... not at all. She just wasn't very clever at responding to leading questions and was on the back foot from there on. If Paxman hadn't been so aggressive from the off then maybe she'd have been able to put across a valid argument that would have made for a more civilised interview. Butting in and talking over people as they try to explain is one of the things I don't like about Paxman - you invite people onto your show to talk, so let them answer in full when you ask a question. They have the common decency to shut up when you speak, so how about returning the favour.
I'd do her though, always liked the cheeky librarian look in a woman ;-)

Paxman is like a laywer in court, if you know how to handle then its a lot easier, though the very best ones are total f*cks as I found out.
Well that douche bag of MP didn't even speak english, if she had answered the question they job done, as such she was made to look very dumb and very guilty. Why don't just get rid of MPs ect, they don't actually do anything useful whilst getting fat of us...

He's a bit of a Rottweiler once he's sensed that they are trying to fudge the answer :p

Yes, she tried to answer in SpinEnglish, which doesn't work with Paxman.
I can't remember why I dislike her, but she's a local MP, so I see her on the local news quite often. Its one incident I remember, something to do with local council workers getting the push, and she tried to justify it in spinenglish & wasn't very sympathetic to their plight.
She seems like one of the new breed of MP, who've been bred and educated just to be an MP and are out of touch with Joe Public.:(

But very reasonable. He did not answer the question, as all politicians are wont to do, so he asked it again. And again... He got an award for it but I still don't like Paxo - he's a bully and too full of himslef.
The posts about career politicians also get my vote (pun intended). Rather like teachers who never see life outside of accedemia before standing at the front of the classroom they lack a grounding in reality and can show themselves up because of it.

Thats very true, I have about three years teaching experince, some of it at Key Stage 2 and 3 however I have been totally put of doing a teaching post grad due to the amount of paper work, having seen my old house mate spend more time writing about teaching than actually teaching sod that, but its what these MPs now want. Pencil pushers, rather than people who have actual real life experince.
