No, really!

Pulled up at the lights on a dual carriageway earlier. I'm in lane 2, Kojak's in lane 1.

I'm at the front of the queue and so is he, however I'm a little closer to the white line. I lift my visor (cos it's stonkingly hot) and notice he's rolling forward.

"Hello..." I think, "Here comes a comment about the exhaust or summat"

Anyway, he says to me, "Have you remembered to get tax for that for tomorrow?" (tax disc expires 30/06/12).

"Yes, officer, I bought it online last night" (which was the truth btw)

"But well spotted and thanks for asking"

Was tempted to wheelie away but decided that might be pushing it.

Anyway, at least he was trying to help, God bless his cotton socks.

He was probably checking out your bum, desperate to try and chat you up he scanned the bike to find a way of breaking the ice.

Checked the XT on Friday night - end of October.

Now off out to check the other 3 - I haven't a clue.

I have tax and MoT dates for my three on a chart pinned to the wall in the study... and I still forget.
