Hi all. Finally bought a bike (650S K6) and the seller gave me a tax disc holder seperately. Where's the best place to bolt it, and what size bolt do I need?
Does anyone use torx bolts so there's less chance of it being 'removed'?
Thanks.

Mines just attached on via the exhaust hanger bolt, some people put them on the front caliper bolts.

If i remember correctly it had to be displade on the left hand side of the bike anywhere where its view can be seen easily,
iv got mine bolted onto my gear hugger.. i quite like it,
some people bolt it onto the front forks...

Chain guard. Not sure if they're meant to be on one side or t'other or nearer the front? Previous owner had his attached where the reflectors bolt to the side of forks on non-UK models.

Mine is bolted onto the side of the radiator on the left hand side. I used the bolt that holds the cover in place.

It should be displayed on the nearside of the motorcycle.

Mine is under the seat so no one can steal it (common round hear)

I keep mine in my wallet. Spoke to a copper years ago when there was a spate of road tax thefts, he advised me to do it. As long as it's on you, then there shouldn't be a problem.

Fine as long as your always with the bike, otherwise you'll probably get a ticket for failure to display.
Mine was at the front chain guard bolt, but when i fitted a hugger i moved it to the rear bolt of the nearside rear footrest,[i also fitted a washer of the same thickness under the front bolt ,so not to stress the unit when tightened.]
tax disc in my wallet, havent displayed for 3 years now, gets wet and sh1tty when on the bike.

It won't get wet and sh1tty if you use one of the Oberon cylinder holders, mines 100% water tight and looks cool IMO
I keep mine with the V5 at home.
It's all computerised. They can check with the DB anytime they want to. These things are occasionally stolen.

Mine is on the swing arm bolt for chain guard.

+1 I've never displayed one on the bike.
Every tax disc holder i have fitted has fallen off or been stolen. Just tape it to the underside of the seat cowel now

I have an Oxford Gold cylindrical one attaced to the chain guard near the rear wheel.
Looks smart aginst the black body work.
