I was involved in a big smash up on the 27th and am now selling the bike as i have no experience or resource's to repair her.

She has not been registered as crash and all the main bits still work.
I know im making a mistake selling her as i know i could fix her and still be in pocket when i come to sell it.

So whats broken?:

front wheel
rear wheel
forks
yokes
fairing bracket
clocks
fairings
tail
radiator
Tank
master cylinder

Whats not broken?:

Frame
Swingarm
Engine (completely untouched due to epic R&G crash bungs) 19k miles
Everything else

Album http://s1063.photobucket.com/albums/t508/Elliott_J_W/
all pics there.

Tank slapper due to an appalling setup dropped 25mm on the forks and raised 35mm. I should have seen it coming. I'm lucky to be alive although I've substained pretty serous injuries from it...

Still you're alive to tell the tale, that's what counts and learn from your experience

Very true.
I have decided to take a break from biking also as I have a lot more to do at present.

Please note I also have a collection of spare for the bike also.

And will only split the bike once I have a buyer for both frame and then engine. There is money to be made by someone with the spare time.

ouch, we all learn from experiences. im sure you will soon be back on the bike, its like virus that keeps coming back.
what kind of spares do you have? and are the lowers any good?

is there any frame damage ?

Elliott
07-07-12, 04:04 PM
None visible, R&G bungs and the tank took all the brunt.

Only thing on the frame is boot and leather rub, but that was there before the crash.

Just had a flick through the pictures and i was cringing.
Im sorry to hear about your accident though, I hope you're okay! As for the bike... Id be out buying a new tank because that's mangled and a new front end. The fairings isn't that much of a problem because i think the SV looks better without the side fairings, especially pointy model.

Hope you're okay!

Thanks for the comments, id be capable of putting her back on road/track but id rather lose some money and get rid. When im fit ill look at something new, poss a ducati monster.

A lot of broken bones but alive :D

I was very down about it all but I know I'm lucky to be alive sort of makes losing a bike worth it.

Taking some time away from biking but I'll return ;)

Is the tail tidy goosed Woody or is it ok? Might be interested if it's ok and has a light for the reg. plate, as well as some other bits. I'm Mike by the way from the NWB forum, it was you who put me onto getting my bike through this forum a few months back. I could always have a ride down if it's ok with you and see what bits are ok that I might want.

In the mean time GWS mate.

Elliott

Yea tail tidies ok bud just some paint coming off.
Will have to wait till I'm abit more mobile but I'll strip it off for ya, dunno how much you wanna pay tho! :D

Its mainly for the registration plate light I need it. Got a tail tidy on mine but noticed fairly soon after buying the bike it had no light which Im assuming is a legal requirement for at night. Like the look of the pegs aswell, did they survive OK aswell?

Elliott
12-07-12, 10:24 AM
Yea it has the small led light above it.

Pegs are ok too.

Hey, How much would you be asking for the Rear Grab Rail ? And would you be able to ship it to Ireland ? Did you say it was k4 blue.. and was it damaged ? Thanks :).

Elliott
13-07-12, 05:11 PM
Erm, how much you want to pay? Lol. Looks like I'll be splitting the bike as I don't want to wait forever to shift it.
So I'll work out what I have and then list the lot.

b2001l
13-07-12, 06:34 PM
Honestly have no idea how much they are worth. 50 pounds incl shipping?

Bump. As a whole or split.

15-07-12, 11:23 AM
Hey fella, glad your ok, that looks messy.

If you decide to split I really need the longer engine bolts that come with the r&g crash bungs, I bought a set off eBay but the w@nker seller didn't give me the longer bolts so I have some nice ornaments at the mo sitting in my garage.

I would consider an exchange for the normals if you like or even a price for all the r&g brackets and bungs you have?

Also if you do split, interested in the rearsets if they are not broken.

Cheers

Hi and thanks for your interest.
The rearsets are fine and not damaged in the crash.
The Crash bungs would need to be sold with the bars as i have kept the orignials.

At this point i am unsure on pricing (still abit smashed up from the crash) So if you have an idea of what you like to pay we can use that as a starting point.

To everyone else, i will be looking at all the parts I have available and posting them with competitive prices (i.e cheaper than eBay)

Just need to get to work on a list.
To those that I have had PM's from please resend what parts you want and and a price guide, this is to ensure that i make sure those people get first pick (they asked first)

Thanks

Elliott
