I've not been hiding - just busy so you've not got rid of me yet ;-)

Had a BRILLIANT ride up the west and north coast of Wales yesterday - probably the best ride yet. Weather was immense and managed to find some nice country roads. My butt is taking the pain though after the journey because of the uncomfortable passenger seat :-(

Were thinking about heading down there again when we get some nice weather so anybody up for meeting and a nice drive let us know :-)

Attached pictures!

Wait, wait, wait you've just said North/West Wales and nice weather in the same sentence, are you sure?!

Should have asked him to keep the SV for you and started taking lessons. Missed opportunity there. :)

Oh dear which one does he want to be Charlie or Ewan. :p

For Christmas get him a subscription to Ride magazine, some slippers & a pipe, and start saving for the Goldwing & trailer ;)

Great bikes, I've had an '09 one and a DOHC '10 version. Far, far better bikes than my SV650S.

Obviously it's easy to take the pi55 out of other peoples motorcycles on an internet forum but I'll just stick to the facts. Enjoy the GS.

I see it's fitted with cylinder head guards which is a good thing, you'll need them 'cos it will go over sooner or later, although the SOHC ones are cheaper to replace than the DOHC ones. If he's thinking of getting onto the gnarly stuff, BarkBuster alloy handguards are a must too.
Been there, fell off.

Horses for courses Y-C ? Too right. That's why I bought a brand new Defender for my works van. Love it!

You are gonna be way more comfy on that . A lad in work has one as his daily commute , he does 90 miles a day to work and back . Even though he has a car he uses the Beemer more in the Winter . He`s very happy on it :) . I`m 6ft 2 and find those things really comfy , unfortunately I cannot justify owning one just to comfort alone ... it has to have a slightly Mental edge for me to enjoy it :)

Comfort on a bike is a big thing for me because im skin and bones...theres no cushion to make up for it!
The back box acts as a chair to me and when i sat on the rider seat it just curves and hugs your legs which is a good thing for tod.

RIP suzy :-(

I actually found that having a softer seat made me ache more , especially "at speed" on motorways . I just got pushed into it more . Went for a harder seat and made my life so much better . I know other people say it`s the other way around for them . We are all different and there are many ways to make things more comfy . My pet hate with regards for comfort is having footpegs too high ... it`s why I could never ride a sporty Ducati , just too damn uncomfortable . I resigned myself to maybe never having the opportunity to ride a big V-Twin 1 litre bike in comfort ....... then KTM released the 950/990 Supermoto .

And then I fell in love . Currently saving the pennies to get me some of that :)
