Pointy lowered seat fit '03 onwards?

I have read that the 2003 pointy riders seat is different to the K4 onward. Can anyone tell me if this applies to the lowered seat also?

I've found a 2nd hand lowered seat local to me at a good price, however it's from a 53 plate pointy and I have an SK6. At first I thought it wouldn't fit but have found a new one online that states fitment is naked/faired 2003 onward.

04+ seats don't fit 03's. I should know i have a lowered 4k+ seat i'm selling because it doesn't fit my k3!

Fair enough. My senario is the other way around but I imagine the result is the same.

If I buy the 2003 seat you wanna swap?

Hard to understand why robinsons foundry list a single part number for this seat, all years 2003 onward?
Am I missing something here? I went as far as ordering the seat just to see if they ask for a specific year/model at the checkout stage, but nope...
Obviously didn't actually buy the seat, just deleted from basket before payment.

2003 lowered seats definitely don't fit k6 bikes. I've got a k6 and bought a 2003 seat on e bay and didn't fit which now I'm stuck with a k3 seat :-(
