How about this place? A friend of mine works for them and they are currently hiring. However, if you are interested, before you apply you must return the favour..... I think he gets a little commission if he brings someone in to the company so would just be a case of me passing your number to him etc.

Hope this helps and you aren't out of work for too long :)

Sadly the biggest growth area is in iPad programming. Poor Soulkiss :D

Good luck with finding something interesting,

Keith.

Not fancy going freelance fella..? Dreadful luck on the job-front, I got made redundant once and that was enough.

Well thats my total up to 4 times now...

Done freelance/contracting before, would be happy to do it again.

Especially as the major perk of Permanent Employment, ie Job Security, no longer seems to be there.

Openbet's a great shout, a market that's expanding like wildfire in the recession and is web-based!

Thanks folks - all info greatfully received.

The weirdest thing happened today.

Went into my Appeal of the decision and came of it back in a job again, well at least until the end of the week as they are re-doing the consultation period and actually consulting with me.

So I may be ok, or I may be out of a job still, Friday will tell...

Sounds like it might be an idea to job hunt whatever the decision, do you really want to stay at the company now?

Well, put up a good fight, didn't fight hard enough, well actually there was no way to win in the end.

So those who have put up a lead, I will be in touch by PM in the next couple of days.

Anyone else know of anything?

Been over 15 years since I was anywhere near Lotus.

UPDATE:

Soulkiss is once again de-crunched :)

Took a while to sort the details out, so wasn't as quick as I had hoped, but I got the job mentioned in my post above.

Start on Weds as an Infrastructure Administrator/Security Engineer.

In the end I didn't have to take the 10% pay cut I feared I would (discussed in this thread (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=181675)), ended up with a very slight raise in fact.

So YAY !!! :)
