Bit of an inane question, but from the last few posts in the 'O2 network down' thread it seems that most people have more than one.
What are they for?
I'll start it off - 1 personal and 1 business.
1, personal. I have a second one, small cheap PAYG. Take it with me on european trips, or weekends away as a spare

none, my last one is in the middle of the irish sea due to me getting p'd off getting called back off leave
and if someone really wants to get hold of me they will find a way
just the one contract here but have every phone I've ever owned, right down to my first motorola which stilll works!!
My HTC is currently in for repair so using a borrowed nokia from sometime circa the stone age - actually really enjoying only being able to text and make calls.
Two phones for me, one for work and one personal.
However, I have about 5 older ones collecting dust in various places around the house...
Work and personal and playing with the idea of using a third as a tracker for the bike using Tasker and Latitude.

I always find someone with more than one is a drug dealer or the second phone is a "shag phone".
Pete ;)
1 and i hate it. its like being tied to a leash and for that reason i deliberately leave it in the car or lockup or don't bother charging it till i need to. cant stand the blooody things.
Used to have a "black ops" phone with the numbers of various loose women around the country but had to chuck that away when me and the missus got serious. So I'm down to 1 phone now.

Any idea roughly where you chucked that?

One work and one personal, although I'm looking at a 3rd as I foolishly use my personal phone for dealing
...only kidding, basically too many people I deal with have my direct work phone number so it's getting harder to screen calls!

One for mostly personal and one for our company out of hours service. But like several others here, we have lots of old handsets lying around and the kids have our previous phones (which means they're quite good, but not quite cool enough for their "friends" to nick).
I do remember one of our drivers who - back in the day when there was just Vodafone, Cellnet and Orange was still new - had three phones, one on each network. Best bit? He had them in a tool belt! LMAO every time I saw it.

One work & 1 personal
Don't use the personal one much, just for emergencies and a quick call home when I'm working away
About a £10 a month

We had 7 for the business and used to replace them regularly so i have a box with about 20 in,still got 5 on account.I use a Windows Phone.
One work, one personal and one I take abroad. There also are three old handsets on my bedside table that are the most expensive alarm clocks I have ever owned and a couple or three even older ones in drawers somewhere gathering dust. Until two years ago I still had every mobile phone I'd ever owned, and I got my first one in 1990 and have changed them on average every 18 months.

20 phones!!
blimey i think i have every phone still that i have had when i upgraded to a new one. still got a Nokia (3310 i think) which has a tiny screen and you could change the cover to a cheap plastic one.
The best phone i had was a Sony Ericson which used to last for about 6 days before it needed charging. Now my phone has to be charged up every day :(

1 which is personal but also printed in media directories and on our work website so pretty much anyone can track me down. I refuse to have a work Blackberry as I have mutant thumbs that don't work on that silly little keypad. Instead I just bill work for £30 a month or more as that is what each Blackberry costs the company.
I do have an Orange PAYG but only use it as a spare - it was useful to have at AR as we could then give it to whoever was TEC or taking the 'get me fish and chips' calls.
My nephew is 9 and he's had a mobile for over 2 years!

I have never had any problems since the 1st IPhone came out, i love the fact that when the next one comes out i can just sell my 4s to pay off my contract and to pay for the new phone on contract. Plus i get £125 for taking new contracts out with O2 :)

It's a good phone for the simplicity and multi tasking.
I found that there's so many common faults with the iPhone regarding software and hardware. For example I only had my iPhone for 5 month and the home button just stopped working.. for no reason! I thought it was a software problem so I collaborated it and nope, it was hardware. It constantly closed apps on me out of the blue when I was working on something.
Good phones, but I'd never go back from my Galaxy now.. so much practical! :D

Ditto.
Used to give out my work number and use it as a personal phone but after changing departments and working with a moron who assumed I was available 24/7 and with some Americans who could not work out time zone differences I now switch it off once home at the end of the day. So I had to get one of my own, which I carry to work and back each day, which is irritating!
Finally got a smartphone a couple of weeks ago - novelty has now worn off and I hate the poor battery life, but I know it will come in useful every now and then so...
