Out & about on the North York Moors yesterday.. inc. test ride on Street Triple R :D

[Paul the 6th]

Went out for a bimble yesterday ahead of a small group ride next Saturday. Decided to stop off and photograph some of the best bits of road I could find :)

The route went something like York > Helmsley > the little lookout carpark point north of Chop Gate > east towards Ingleby Greenhow > Kildale > Commondale > Castleton > The Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge (where I met up with PunyXpress & Bri W) > then home via Kirby Moorside > Helmsley > Back past byland abbey and then through some little villages just north of york... Long day in the saddle and although the clouds looks threatening at times the weather was very kind..

Bri very kindly let me take his street triple R for a 25 min blast with puny leading on his street R.. Absolutely epic bikes. The engine is like nothing I've ever ridden before and they're so light & nimble with razor sharp brakes, very comfy and look brilliant..

Oh god, not another good thing about the Street Triple. I'm seriously thinking of buying one in April, went for a test ride today but they were fully booked. Temptations are getting too much!
