I went to Bansko in Bulgaria last year which was pretty good value for money & waaayyyyy better than Borovitz that I'd been to a few years earlier. Really enjoyed Les 2 Alps too which is pretty high up so almost guaranteed snow (and extreme cold)

If you can afford it - Canada :)

What do you want. Les 2 alps and les arc are awesome especially les arc.

If you want snow and cheap and like easy off piste montgenevre is ace but zero nig htlife but it suits me fine.

Did Canada at school and thought it no better then the 2 alps trips I've done.
One in the Mt Blanc region and another at Wildhaus in Swiss alps. Loved Wildhaus but depends what you're after as there was NO night life.

as i said, night life is no issue as there will be few of us going so will just buy beer, were all quite keen on the idea of being able to ski and not being majorly hungover, completely open to idea's so will have a look at everyones suggestions later on this evening :)

There were bars in the resteraunts but other than these and a spar you couldn't get alcohol in Wildhaus

Have you thought about Andorra/Pyrenees or the Dolomites? Less popular than the Alps so maybe better value. Not been myself but throwing the idea out. ;)

Sauze D'Oulx (Italy) is fantastic, as is Tignes (France).

Both are part of huge linked ski areas, e.g. Sauze joins up with Montgeneve (which is also nice), Sestriere, Claviere and a few others. It's enormous.

I think it all depends on what you are looking for while skiing or snowboarding

If you want guaranteed snow then somewhere like Finland, Norway or a glacier (Kaprun or Tigne)
Good off piste Les Arcs, Caneza, Selva val Gardena, Arraba (sella Rhonda) Courchevel

For long runs i would go anywhere on the alps Meribel, Val Thorens Courchevel

For other things to do (skido and husky trips) definately Lapland - If you go out of season when it is extremly cold you can have the whole hill to yourself

If money is an issue just do a allocation on arrival, i have been to some stunning places using this and obviously some dives too but the good out weighed the bad. Might even get to Canada on this method

I did not see santa as he did not visit the bar i was in

I also missed the northern lights as i came out of the bar and everyone was looking up and i was a little worse for wear and started to feel ill
Doh!
