Go with Sunday, weather is supposed to be SUNNY!
And as I always say... not too early ;)

I might be able to do a late one Sunday. I'll be home some time after lunch. Probably 4pm latest.

There is no point us starting late just for you as you never turn up! Probably due to lack of fuel!;)

Why don't you guys aim to swing past my neck of the wood later on in the day. Then I can give you running text updates of my availability and join if if possible. If you'd rather go somewhere else, that's cool with me, though I can't promise I won't burgle your houses and kill your families while you're gone (it's a hobby).
I would... but i doubt my current bike would keep up

Thats ok mate we won't burn off and leave you behind, the whole point of a rideout is to ride together, plus if we get too far ahead we'll stop & wait!
I'm a possible for Sunday but would need to be morning.

Yeah happy with that mate, was hoping you'd be up for it, you know, to give the ride purpose, direction and a nice steady pace!;)

Probably interspersed with multiple stops to twiddle various twiddly bits to see if I can make the damn thing go round corners in a slightly less shopping trolley meets bambi on ice kind of way.
I am up for something, early start and early ish back?

Dont be silly
OK Plan to be developed over time but initial facts :-
Start Time :- 09:00 for 09:30 departure Sunday 22nd
Start Location :- Oatsheaf Pub Fleet
Destination :- Unknown. Possibly Salisbury/Devizes, possibly south as normal
Route :- To be developed en-route but will include some twiddly bits, some swoopy bits and some layby bits so I can twiddle my rear shock from time to time. No plans to include any motorways or major dual carriage ways or any of Cornwall.
Distance :- To be determined at the end of the ride
End time :- Start time + (distance/average speed) + stops or there abouts but probably early afternoonish + VAT
Riding style :- I'll ride like I do, you ride like you do. If you come past me then consider yourself run-leader. If you want to ride slower we'll make sure junctions are marked. If you want to ride like a complete tit, please find another ride to join. Bullying or patronising will not be tolerated (unless victim is on a Thunderace)
Catering :- Hopefully find tea/bacon butty at some point but no promises.
Fuel stops :- at least every 100 miles else you help me push
Luggage :- You'll need topbox, panniers, a tankbag, rucksac, trailer and support vehicle at the very least.
Democracy :- If you want to start later or from somewhere else .... Tough!
If the forecast is to be believed it should be a nice weekend. If however it's chucking it down or threatening to do so then I declare myself a big girls blouse and pass control over to the much tougher Mr.Ace.
I'll post final confirmation Saturday evening when I get back from the seaside with the family.

OK sounds like a plan!!! Tom could we meet somewhere before hand so I can follow you to said pub?;)

FFS!!!
Get onto Allisons Road (the one that goes through all the Army stuff)
Stay on it under the bridge,
Stay on it past the tight right hander
Stay on it past the chicane parallel to the canal past the airport.
Come to a roundabout affair. Go sort of over and left signposted to Fleet.
Stay on gentle right hander (with iffy drain cover pothole)
Traffic lights. Turn Left - Aldershot Road
Stay on it to the end
Traffic lights. Turn right towards Esso station
Next set of lights is the OatSheaf.
It's signposted to Fleet from the end of your driveway to the pub!!
Google makes a right meal of it as all the Army roads are secret so not routed. It really is just a straight road from you to it. If you just randomly rode West you'd get there.
Or,
Ride 5 miles in the opposite direction to meet Tom first !!!
yeh ride 5 miles, meet me then go :) then i dont have to carry the cargo net!

Hmmm ;) New Forest anyone?
@Bordtea. Hardly surprising you can't get up in the morning. You need to get to bed earlier!
New forest is unlikely for my route as its mostly 40's once you get there.
Nah Mark 4am is his benchmark..

So is Sunday still good for everybody? If so should we start an attendance thread?
