Only now do I think the press are waking up to what Bradley Wiggins and the Sky team are about to achieve.

Winning the Tour de France is an absolutely fantastic achievement. OK his hair is an absolutely shocking disgrace but l really hope the press and public give Bradley and co' due recognition.

Flamin' SUPERSTAR!! Come on!!:notworthy:

Definately a fantastic achievement by Wiggo and the rest of the team, hopefully MC will get the win in Paris tomorrow to ice the cake.

And if you can't have bad hair with a name like Wiggo..........

Maybe he'll bring out a range of Bradley Replica syrups.

Brad and the team have done brilliantly.

Just look at the point comp, not winning but Cav, Edvald, Brad and Froome are 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th. Doesn't win anything, but points to the consistency in getting over the line in a high position.

Still think there are to many haters out there "he wouldn't be able to beat Contador", and "he must be doping". Let me think, why isn't Contador there? Oh yeah he's suspended for doping!

Easy solution, test him.

I don't understand why they don't just test everyone. At least it would create employment.

They are all tested regularly. The podium presentation was delayed the other day because they had to wait for him to wait for him to 'go'.

This org gets more bizarre by the day. I turn my back for a quick couple of pints, come back and the thread has been morphed from a desired celebration of a great British sporting achievement to pictures of hairy morris dancers on motorbikes.

Get a grip you lot! :-)

I think he should do the last stage with a beret on his head and a string of onions hanging off his bike.Give the cheese eaters something to remember.

Nope, a bowler hat, carrying a brolly and reading a copy of the Times \\:D/

Then sticking up 2 fingers and shouting 'Remember Agincourt' when they hand him the trophy :smt063 :smt063

I'll settle for the Sky train dragging Mark Cavendish around the streets of Paris and firing him up the Champs Elysee to the stage win.

That's ruined the moment for me. The thought of you losing your grip on the pussy.

I was'nt enjoying those last few hundred metres. Djomolodine Abdoujaparov springing to mind. 8-[

That crash still haunts me! How he lived, I will never know! :notworthy:

I kind of got bored of the tour when Indurain went through his record breaking wins, he started in yellow and ended in yellow. :D

Have to disagree, having seen Indurain start his winning streak from start to finish I was inspired by him, none more so than when I saw the first TT in the 1995 TDF. The speed he went past our position on the course still brings the hairs up on the back of my neck.

That was the last year he won, only to be beaten by Bjarn Riis using EPO inthe 1996 TDF :(

What a great finish, I didn't see it live, as I was out for a ride, almost seemed inevitable Cav winning, but being led out by the yellow jersey, I can't remember that happening before.

I notice that Lance Armstrong is fighting the good fight at the moment, I have read his statement and it seems pretty sad that he is being accused of being dirty. What a shame.

We'll see, there was a good counter story in this months Cycle Sport, if he was clean then fair enough, but there seems to be a lot of evidence that he wasn't.

Anyway less of Armstrong, how long before its Sir Bradley Wiggins :king:
