I have a wife. therefore good weather brings out her schemes. so weekend spent raking out the cracked mortar on the patio ready for repointing. Bike has not left the garage in weeks.

100-odd miles each way to the National Motorcycle Museum on Sunday. Nice day out spoiled by the pathetic 50mph speed limits that seem to be everywhere these days.

First time in many many moons I've been to the NMCM - last time was before the fire. Seems so much bigger now and even though the weather was fabulous there was only a handfull of visitors there. Most visitors were of the crusty clinging-on-to-the-remains-of-a-DA brigade with bored looking younger relation in tow, trying to work out which of the hundreds of seemingly identical Triumph/Norton/BSA/others was the one they had fifty years ago...
