Of being officially retired-----full tank of fuel, tail pack, glorious weather and an empty holiday flat in Hemsby. Few beers in the club finished off with a kebab will be on the cards for tonight. Nice lay-in and full English in the cafe tomorrow morning, followed by a nice bimble home through country lanes.
ENJOY WORK PEEPS:D

Shut up Mac. Just shut up. Sweltering hot office and airport style security to get into the ground.
I'm taking the decision right now to spend the rest of the week photographing cricket and getting there on my bike.

Hemsby? As in the village comprising nothing much more than Pontins near the ever-shifting coastline of Norfolk? Was this holiday let cheap then??
Nice coast road up towards Cromer from there. Best thing about it is you'll be heading away from Great Yarmouth!

Mr LPH is planning a weekend in Hemsby soon. The lads go every year. The beach is nice if you can avoid the chavs.

Don't have to go far north of there to get some almost empty stretches of beach. Just get away from the slot machines and neon of places like Hemsby and it's very tranquil.
I grew up ten miles inland from this bit of the coast and miss it a lot (the quiet bit anyway).

I will admit it is a bit chavy but my son has a holiday home on the Bermuda site and it is a nice ride up there from Chelmsford through all the little villages when you stick to the "B" roads.
118 miles up and 123 miles back, about 3 hours each way, enjoying the country side and stopping for a cuppa ----makes for a nice away day when you have good weather and all day to do it. As a side note due to the non necessity for any hurry I did it on one tank of fuel and when I checked the mpg when I filled up back home I was getting 63mpg,which isn't bad out of a 955cc bike.
Normally if I go up for a couple of days I ride round the coast, fish'n'chips in Wells on to sunny Hunny then cut back across country to Hemsby
