I have a pair of "Ice Blue" LED sidelights that got me an MOT failure for my k4 SV. Yet when I had them in my car a year ago the MOT guy said they were fine?
My question is, could I get pulled over for having "Ice Blue" side lights? They look pretty white to me..

unfortunately that's one of those examiners discretion things, like how loud is your exhaust, generally plod won't pull you for it, but if you get a tug for something else they may pickup on that too.
Cheers Mark.

Cheers. It's a shame really, I love the look of the white sidelights, like another pair of eyes in my headlights, but its not worth it if the pigs are gonna be attracted like flies to a flame.
As you mention the exhaust loudness - I've got a stubby beowulf can that's pretty damn loud even with the baffle fitted. I guess I'm not helping myself stave off the cops!

Oh I don't know, I run a 6000k HID headlight, two led bright white sidelights and have twin Mivv race cans (which aren't quiet), I cover considerable mileage around London and never been pulled for any or it, it's about being aware and good observatioin , just don't take the pi** when the old bill are about.

Ok, thanks for the advice! I'll put the white LED's back into my SV tomorrow :) and hope the fuzz around Surrey aren't too anal about it!

I'll watch out for your twin can HID set-up and lead the pigs to you ;)
Cheers

You seem to like using that word for police.
You do know that there are quite a few serving officers on this forum, some in the traffic division and some in your local area.
Might be an idea to stop being so pig-ignorant.
Main Entry: pig-ignorant

I hope I don't come off as offensive, only intended as light hearted banter
