Changing SV650SA (ABS) Brake Fluid?

Hi All,

I cant seem to find any info on changing the brake fluid for my SV650SA (ABS). I have found the standard procedures for non-abs SV's but am not sure if the procedure is the same (I know on cars it is usually slightly different).

Does anyone know if there are any differences and if so where I can find some instructions?

correct, I am aware that the brake fluid is the same but sometimes the systems have different requiements. For example the system on my ABS car required the ABS accumulator pressure to be releived prior to attempting a brake fluid flush. I just wanted to know if there is anything similar for the ABS bike? or if I can follow the standard fluid flush for non-abs bikes.

just had a look at the supplement service manual K7> and is says to bleed as normal.

you could always phone suzuki and ask them to be sure.
