As we all know they wear over time but would it be totally impractical to take up a little wear by using black silicone rubber.Once it has cured it sets like a soft rubber which has no place to go once in the cushdrive housing and may be just enough to take up a bit of wear.
The cush rubbers themselves are rubber coated and cost £12 each x 5=£60 but mine aren't completely knackered and it seems a waste of £60 when it might be able to be repaired for £2.
The trick with ZZR1100s is to pack the gaps between the rubber and carrier with strips of leather. I can confirm it works quite well.

Silicon is too soft and gets mashed up in no time.
Never tried leather belt but flat drive belt works.
