Does this include places like Spain or France?

We could make it to France, but only to eat a croissant, punch a Frenchie and head home for work on Monday!

Glad you're up for this Dean. We'll pick up some weissbier at Fort William. Mmmmmm!

High level negotiations are in place to see if i can blag a pass for this. Assuming I'm welcome I think I'd only be able to do the Friday, then have to head back on Saturday. Frankly, I'll take what I'm given. The midges will probably send me fleeing before my pass expires anyway!

Might need to try some tent stacking experiments in the mean time...

If not, then don't panic, it's on to plan B.

Hmm, initial enquiries remain inconclusive, i'll do some further investigation! I'm definitely not a @€¥# though if that helps.

Weather forecast does look a bit questionable but looks to be more hopeful up there than in the central belt. Keep the faith in plan A!

Argghhhh as must as I would love to get back up for this (any excuse to play on your roads and see you lot). I need to service the thing this weekend. Has done 5500 miles in last 3 months, and killed a tyre. Have fun guys :)

One of my favourite roads. Here's hoping the weather is lovely and you don't get stuck behind any camper vans/jcb diggers/etc :)

I'm 40, so I'm more of a Vanilla Ice man......... Alright stop, colllaborate a listen, Ice is back with my brand new invention.

Anyway, Plan B is that there is no plan. At least not until we realise that Plan A is gonna be a weekend of soggy scrotums.

Plan A..... August's Applecross Assault.
Meeting at 12:30 on Friday at Esso petrol station on Dumbarton Road (next to Little Chef).
That's the important bit.
From there it'll be Tarbet, Crianlarich, Tyndrum and Fort William.
We'll stop at Morrisons in Fort William for fuel, scooby snack and a pee-pee (you've to try, even if you don't need).
Then we'll push on to Applecross.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Dumbarton+Rd%2FA82&daddr=Applecross+Inn,+Shore+Street,+Strathcarron&hl=en&sll=55.935212,-4.517773&sspn=0.005312,0.013036&geocode=FfyBVQMdJBm7_w%3BFY1abAMdbEGn_yGHp1eq2M293 CkRZitmnYGOSDGHp1eq2M293A&t=m&mra=ls&z=8

The ride on saturday can be discussed in the pub on Friday.
The return trip on Sunday will be the reverse of Friday, with the option for a surprise little detour courtesy of Dean if the weather is OK.

If you're coming, please PM me your mobile number if I don't already have it.

That's it guys.

See you on Friday.

http://goo.gl/maps/KoIuz

this is the small detour if the weather is up to it. The bit of road through Glen Arroch on Skye is slow (V-narrow and a little gravely) but if we take our time its worth it for the views when you get near the mainland, the Ferry is a bit of fun.

http://www.skyeferry.co.uk/

The road on the mainland through Glen More is a little wider but once again the views when you get to Ratagan are out of this world.

Fingers crossed the weather is good for it...

I'm looking forward to this, now where did I hide my credit card for fuel!

.......the deer, not the others.

How very dare you!

There was also another deer on the right round the next bend. it tolerated the front runners with good grace, then shook itself, dog-style, sending water flying in a photogenic fashion, then turned and fled. Didn't like the tone of the scorpion pipe, I guess.

I'd assumed Alan had got it on a buy two, get one free deal.
