Out riding, minding my own business, I decided to go the longer way home as weather was good. Was on the roundabout turning right and just about to turn off when some scroats in 2 cars racing each other went on the wrong side of the road, past the bollards onto the roundabout I'm on, and went the wrong way round, luckily I saw and heard the tyre screech so moved as far left as possible, missed me by about 1 foot, then I looked in my mirrors and they JUST missed a cyclist!!

Called cops but I had no idea of the make of the cars, just the colour of one and driver description. Police woman said you must have some idea wasn't you paying attention??????????????. I replied, no I was to concerned with not getting wiped out.

Visited the local nick and gave details and saw a patrol car crusing around for them. Police I spoke to in person were great and I apologised for the lack of info but they understood it happened so fast.

But "wasn't I paying attention" was unbelieveable, the fact I got out of their way showed I must have been. Ironically had I been in the car, it would have been head on as I'd have had nowhere to go!!!!

Time for idiots like that when caught to be given 5 minutes in a room with any victims family.

Definitely had ladyluck with me today, does anyone want to know what lottery numbers I'm having tonight?????:D:D:D

Used your luck up mate. No chance of winning the lottery now. Best time to play is after falling over and breaking your leg in a pillow factory, or after being stabbed by deranged baby in a cresh. Then you are in line for a quota of good fortune. ;)

Glad you got away with it though. I was a boy racer a bit when I was a lad, but never did stupid things like that. Completely unacceptable.

.... Police woman said you must have some idea wasn't you paying attention??????????????.

Most forces can't afford to have police officers answering the phone.... you just get somebody with a fraction of the training, zero experience of policing and about as much understanding of real life that their exposure to Eastenders allows.....

Now if a cop had answered the phone they would have asked why you didn't turn around and followed them, riding one handed whilst you speed dialed 999 and gave a running commentary as to speed and direction to an evidential standard......:D

Because they'd use that evidence to give you 3 points for ringing it in! :-P

Jesus Christ!
There's so many idiots on the road that don't consider anything or anybody else, they think they're invincible.
I'm glad you're okay!

Of course if you had been in a car then the incident would not have happened exactly as described, cos they would have lifted off for the split second to take account of a car being in the way, if not you wouldn't be posting about it. Well done for using your mirrors ;)
