Best to check what they're like when they're properly hot. If they're still loose then they're definitely goosed. That does look like a lot of movement though.
Most discs will move like that a bit when they're cold, but the rivets/buttons are often clenched down axially enough to stop the rattling, given a good shove they'll shift though.

I remembered this thread today. Checked my gixer, Spanks S4 and DaddyJob's pointy, and none of us had any play at all (or hardly noticeable). I'd say knackered mate.

as ive said before if in doubt change them(which youve done)but ive seen and used alot worse then that and a trained mechanic said that they were perfectly safe,and i used my loose disc's with out problems untill i change the wheels and tyres which had almost new disc's on some time later
I'm gonna Make a Clock out of these Disc's :0)
