Speaking of paddock stands, I could never get my front one (which looks just like that) to work on the curvy. How the feck do you use them? I'm going to look at the gixer in a mo and see if the forks are different at the bottom and would connect better.

Better to get one that locates inside the steering stem, than the ones that hold the fork bottoms.
Mines got different pins for different sized stem holes

Yes I did mate, sold my grinder so can't cut your tank bracket, will be real busy at work 'til the 17th, but gimmie a shout after that and if you can get hold of a small grinder I'll fit it for a pack of smokes and 4 tinnies!;)

Can try mine out first if you can get over to Fleet with the bike just to make sure if fits yours.
£40(ish) from here .... <Supplier (http://www.ricambiweiss.de/index.php/cat/c362_HEADSTOCK-LIFT.html/XTCsid/0puo393vlrpps7kms3gtrft1i6)>
They advertise on ebay too but is more expensive than going direct unless they have their 20% discount on but apparently that's not on again for a few weeks.
You can pay Euros with paypal and it came to just over £40 incl delivery. When you set up the account look for "Großbritannien" in the country drop down.
Oh and you get some great comedy German-> English translation for the order process and T&Cs.
"Despite careful contentwise control we do not take over adhesion for contents more externally left. For contents of the linked sides are responsible excluding their operator." etc etc

@Mark_h, after the Bodmin trip, could I possibly pop over so we can try and ruin the front end of my bike?;)

That is a curious stand indeed. Can't see how it's work on mine either.
@Dan - Ya thieving pikey scumbag. Good lad! ;)

No probs but unless you've got a centre stand you'll have to bring your shiny new rear stand over as I only have an abba stand and that has bike specific fittings and they aint specific to your beast.
I've got most other tools though.
We'll sort the details once you've fought your way back from Cornwall.
Look under the bottom yoke and you'll see a headstock "hole". A pin goes in there and lifts the front end up. It's ace for when you need the forks off. Non of the car jack and dodgey washing line hanging from the beams in the shed.
