So I was looking at the Top Gear show at NEC information that's taking place in Birmingham and I thought to myself...
If I met Jeremy clarkson, my life would be complete! Or Will Ferrell.
If you had one celebrity you'd love to see in the flesh, who would it be and why?

Do they have to be still alive, or is this a completely theoretical thread?

I must be a glass half empty girl because my worry is that if I met some of the people I have admired, I would be disappointed if they turned out to be vacuous, self involved or stupid. I recently turned down an interview with a rock star for the radio station, because I was disappointed with his ethical stance and was not sure I could stand listening to him if he mentioned it.
Saying that though, a chat over dinner with Philip Pullman and George Orwell would make my life complete provided they both turned out to be as interesting as I have read that they are.
A long time ago, a girl I vaguely knew at Uni told me that she would do literally anything (yes, even that! Dirty ho that she was!) to meet an musician friend of mine. I sent her away with a flea in her ear, knowing that my friends wife would be livid! Fame brings a strange thing out in those people who place it upon others.
Female - Keira (K)nightly... and during the day.
Male - Not fussed as long as they know where the bar is, and where his wallet was.

Can I shag her?
If so, Mary J Blige.
If not, Sister Wendy.
Sorry Wendy, it's the gnashers.

Mark Lemarr, just to find out if it is actually possible for a human to be that miserable!
Her what reads the news... the short posh burd with slitty eyes and a flat chest. She really does it for me.
I don't usually get the desire to meet celebrities but she'd be my first choice. That Rory McGrath is a miserable old sod. He passes by my shop every day on his bicycle and he never looks happy.
Oh, without a doubt, a night down the pub with a 40-something Oliver Reed. (With 3 days booked off work afterwards).

^ Nice.
I think my mine would have to be a steamy night in the bath with Victoria Coren and a quality bottle of Cote de rhone or being on the set of Block busters with good old Bob Holness.

I'd still rather have the night with Liz Hurley but I must admit, just seeing that would put a smile on my face.

Jack Nicholson, maybe better if it had been a few years ago, maybe when he was filming Easy Rider as would have got Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda thrown in. Those people could party but also on the cutting edge of film and lifestyle. Maybe Paul Newman could have joined us too!

Swap Brucie for John Prescot.....now that'd make for an interesting evening.

Female: Kristin Bauer van Straten - aka Pam from True Blood as she's hilarious in that and she can bite me anytime :-)

Have you seen the muppet movie? he plays the human version of a muppet, works very well indeed.

I would love to spend an evening in the boozer with Guy Garvey from Elbow. Never seen a bands front man so chilled with where he is. Always likes a drink or too and seems to have a great love for what he does and his fans.
If were talking naughty... Dannii Minogue, always liked her she's the dirty little sister OH YEAH! I was looking at her in todays metro.

Forget the bike link, but Boorman would be a good fella to have a beer with.
Kylie. Still pert and quite entertaining

I beg to differ!
We had a filing cabinate at work called 'filie' because we had about 30 newspapers with kylie's body out on display! Topless and sexy clothing.
Besides - the quiet ones are always the naughtiest!

Funnily enough, yesterday afternoon I was about to enter a roundabout where the the A272 meets the A29 but had to stop rather suddenly when a BMW X5 came flying onto it driven by none other than Mr Clarkson.

An old work collegue claims to have done exactly this and said it was one hell of a session.

Sir David Attenborough. I could listen to his stories for the rest of my life and not get bored. I have such an enormous amount of respect for him and to have lived just one day in his life would make a life well lived IMO.

It was before my day, but Oliver Reed was a regular at a hotel I used to work at in Richmond (London). There are pictures of him and his antics all over the place, but hundreds more down in the office. The staff that had known him said that he was a wonderful wonderful man. Very hard to deal with sometimes, but completely disinterested in a persons background/wealth/fame. He only cared about whether or not they would join him or frown upon him. If they joined him...he treated them like kings and yes, many many stories about the parties he used to have there :-)

I also love the man (since fabulous creatures) tho I understand he's rather difficult in real life but it may be because he always gets pestered.
I think I'd like to spend an evening with:
My wife - she's lovely - great conversation, sexy with lovely little boobies
Jesus (I'm not religious but interested to see how he created such a successful cult)
Richard Feynman (could explain anything to me)
Neil Armstrong (courage and self-confidence of the man)
Mozart/Beethoven (talent?)
Rossi/C Edwards (fun)
Marilyn von Savant (highest recorded IQ would be interesting)
Robert Winston (why can't life be easily synthesised?)
Brian Cox (space - quite amazing)
I think I would probably like to spend time with anyone enthusiastic - it's infectious (to me).
