Hey guys,

I've been having problems with a certain ninja 250r for quite some time now and recently (within 2 months) had the opportunity to make an honest sale of the bike. However upon finalising the bike noted that it wouldn't start, being honest I told the potential buyer who never returned contact. Completely failing to start is not something this bike has ever experienced. I've done all the 1 spanner Haynes suggestions and it's still not working.

What I'm after is recommendations for mobile motorcycle mechanics in the north-west of England. Preferably the closer to Chester the better.

I've done the generic Google and phone around. I'm after first hand experience and recommendations now. Can anyone help? :help:

He's in the Lymm/Warrington area so don't know if it's a bit too far but a lad called Darren Goodwin has been great with my bike - seems very knowledgeable. Really nice guy and doesn't charge the earth - he's on 07733 127485 and this is his website -

http://www.speedlineengineering.co.uk/

Also has a transporter van to take it back to his workshop if it's not something you can fix on the spot.

Cheers Chris, I'll give him a try. The leads I had found we're either out dated or havn't gotten back to me.

Much appreciated =]

Chris, Gave Darren a call Saturday, came round Sunday and had it fixed that same night. Great service, well worth the call. Thanks very much.

Ah no problem - glad it worked out!

Yeah I should've said he can generally get things done really quickly as he's usually working on long-term projects (like crazy R1-engined quadbikes) - helps when you need your bike for work every day as I do.

Just spoke to Darren today (to arrange having a free go on one of his R1 quads) and he's got a new number so I thought I'd stick it up here in case it helps anyone in future - 07887 516040. Ta.

No worries. He's finally got a new website sorted so thought I'd stick that on here -

www.speedlinebikes.co.uk

More pics of the quads and customs to come apparently. Like the look of the Red Bull one - hilarious to think you could be doing three-figure speeds with no helmet...
