Got my eye on a cowl, what would I need in terms of brackets to fit it?

If it's for a pointy, nothing. It just clips into the same fittings as the seat. If it's for a curvy, I don't know but would have thought it would be the same. If you wanted to remove the grab-rail you'd need infills

Yep curvy is the same, fits on like the pillion seat.

Yes, but only if you don't remove the grab rail: If you do remove the grab rail, there's a small bracket that's needed to hook the cowl into (the rectangular loop in the middle - it's part of the grab rail casting.)

Yes, you would also need these to fill the gap where the grab rail comes out through the bodywork.

I've just bought a new one of these from Power Bronze and whilst it does fit on like the pillion seat it also came with some fittings (hence the reason, when I bought a second hand one, we couldn't get it fixed on...)

The new one came with a metal bracket to secure the middle part of the seat cowl and it had an accompanying little plastic plug to fill in the hole in the middle of the cowl. Also it had a very long screw and a spacer to attach into the cowl, immediately behind the rider. Without this the cowl just didn't locate properly as the original screw from the seat isn't long enough to attach the cowl so it fits flush.

I guess different make fit in different ways though...
